We at Pleasantville Middle School believe that thinkers and problem solvers are developed at an early age.  We are committed through compassion and sensitivity to provide an atmosphere that encourages students to develop their full potential in order to become responsible, contributing citizens.

Essential to the achievement of our mission is the establishment of a community of learners, built upon the values of personal responsibility, respect, perseverance, and academic integrity.  Our goal is to provide a sound educational experience for our students in all curriculum areas where creativity and higher-order thinking is encouraged by establishing a risk-free learning environment.

We believe that the mission statement of Pleasantville Middle School supports the vision of the Pleasantville School District by building a community environment where students, families and staff are mutually respected as they strive to inspire and challenge all to be creative, contributing members of society.  Collaboratively, we believe these ideas will ensure that all students learn, demonstrate positive character traits, and have a foundation to become life-long learners.
