Principal, McGaney-Guy

Welcome to the 2023-2024 School year. My name is Teresa McGaney-Guy and I am both honored and proud to be the principal of North Main Street School (NMSS). I have been an educator for 26 years, having served as an elementary teacher, Summer Enrichment Supervisor, Reading Facilitator, and Assistant Principal. 

The NMSS staff is a community of educators who believe in diverse teaching that instructs the whole child.  Teachers collaborate regularly in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to determine the best course/action to teach each child and simultaneously meet their individual needs. Students are engaged in rigorous learning activities that help them master standards in all content areas. 

NMSS was designated as an Apple Distinguished School both in 2019 and again in 2022.  The school is celebrated with a small number of schools in NJ to receive the prestigious honor. 

Again, I am honored to serve NMSS and its community and I look forward to partnering with you and your efforts in continuing to elevate, educate and motivate your students to success.
