o Billy Gnome's Bedtime Stories BookBox - audiovisual stories, ages 2 to Preteen; web-based jukebox of digital books in languages from around the world. Hear the books read in a multitude of languages. Words for the books can be followed in a number of languages also. You do have to register but it is free registration. The site offers downloads of the stories for a fee, but the online books are free.
o Little Animals Activity Center - (4-8 year olds) Audio stories from BBC with interactive participation. This is a British site and the language pronunciation and meanings may seem strange at times.
o NickJr has stories that are read aloud and animated. A very good site for young children. Click on the stories link to get to the list of stories that are told. Don't forget to click around while the story is being read for cute animation of the characters!
o Online Children's Stories - There are a lot of stories available on the Internet to read or download. Some of them are from well-known books, others can be found only online.
o Picture Books - stories for younger readers, with colorful pictures - from Internet Public Library
o Short Stories - If picture books are too easy, try these short stories. They are also from Internet Public Library.
o Stories to Read online - These are not audio but for reading entertainment.

o Stories to Grow By from Whootie Owl - You can search for stories by type, the values taught, or the place of origin. This is a large stockpile of stories and the stories are age ranked.
o The Symphony of Friendship - A story about the start of the Japanese custom of playing Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at Christmas. 2nd and 3rd grade and up.
o Tiger Aki Storybooks - Series of stories about Tiger Aki. Audio provided.
o Online Stories for Older Students
Amazing Adventures - Online stories and movie adventures. Audio along with stories for students who need help reading. Must click on Sound icon to start the audio.
